Software Test Engineer

We have a large client with an immediate need for a Software Tester. This is a long term contract position with a dynamic engineering company working out of their Austin office. The pay range for this position approximately $40/hr. plus benefits.

Minimum Requirements:

Responsibilities include performing the test plans for the PlantWeb System Integration team with a specific focus on PWS Ovation control system. The initial focus will be testing the integration of the wireless features. Specific duties include building automated test systems, developing test scripts and configurations, running tests, evaluating test results, and working with product development teams to resolve test findings. Testing scope covers both software implementation and system usability. The Test Engineer will work as part of a team of experts, gaining and sharing product development knowledge and customer requirements. Applicant will work closely with the Team Lead and the Management team with an opportunity to progress into roles with more responsibilities with the Technology organization.

A minimum of 2 to 4 years of related software test experience required. Experience with instrumentation systems a plus. Experience with Ovation, software test, Hart, or wireless a plus. A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment a must.

Minimum Education Requirements:
BS/MS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or other engineering degrees with computer science and/or electronics course work
