Details: We have an Austin client with an immediate need for a Senior Perl/SQL/Java Software Support Engineer. This is a salaried position with a dynamic software company working out of their central Austin office (Mopac/290 area). The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 (possibly more for the perfect candidate) plus benefits.

This engineer provides level three production technical support for this enterprise software company. Your responsibilities would include:
- Thrive in a customer-driven and responsive environment
- Interface with external clients to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve application/production issues, across multiple product offerings
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot client software production implementations as assigned
- Execute system and user acceptance testing
- Analyze client data sources for data availability and integrity related to production and test processes
- Participate in 24x7 rotations for product support
- Develop/maintain Perl scripts, shell scripts and SQL
- Provide peer training and transfer of knowledge on product solution suite
- Assist with development and standardization of support processes, striving for continuous improvement and repeatability
To be a fit, you'll need to match the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline required
- Minimum 5 years with software technical support
- Solid hands-on technical experience with Perl, SQL, Oracle and the ability to read Java source code
- Experience with providing application support in a 24x7 environment interacting directly with customers
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize work load based on assignments and process standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written with good analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with peer training, knowledge transfer, and documentation development
- Ability to quickly understand both business and technical concepts and translate into customer needs
- Financial services and/or call center/predictive dialer experience highly desired
