We have an Austin client with an immediate need for an Analytics Consultant. This is a salaried position with a dynamic software company working out of their central Austin office (Mopac/290 area). The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 (possibly more for the perfect candidate) plus benefits. Some relocation assistance is available.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and provide strategy consulting during analytic-driven projects for leading domestic and international financial institutions
- Develop and explore operational and financial impact of multiple strategy scenarios
- Deliver decision strategies and results that help client select a scenario that best satisfies their goals
- Provide analytical model development support including project design, problem definition, objectives and constraints determination
- Serve as the trusted analytic and strategy advisor
- Provide frequent communication with the client to ensure the client's business objective and expectations are reflected in the solution design
- Identify new tools, process, and solutions improvement opportunities and clearly translate the idea to a manageable and achievable scale
- Develop strong knowledge of new modeling technology, industry best practice and market trend

To be a fit, you'll need to match the following requirements:
- 5+ years direct working experience with statistical modeling, optimization and strategy consulting in areas including acquisition risk management, portfolio risk evaluation, marketing, collection and recovery, and fraud detection applications
- MS or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics or other related areas
- First-hand knowledge and experience working with predictive modeling, optimization and similar data-driven business solutions across a variety of industries
- Strong logic and analytic skills and experience applying quantitative analysis to solve business problems
- Strong project management skills, able to handle complex projects in a multi-tasking environment and meet deadlines with quality results
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong skills to interact with both clients and all levels of management within the organization
