We have a Houston client with an immediate need for a IT Security Expert with solid experience in Process Control or SCADA systems within refineries. This is a contract position with a dynamic enterprise consulting company in Houston doing a 10-12 week security assessment at their client in Nigeria. The pay range for this position depends on experience, but would be in the range of $60-$65/hr (plus travel expenses) - possibly more for the right person.

This consultant will be undertaking Process Control System Risk Assessments and Remediation Activities for our client on behalf of a major multi-national Oil and Gas company across all their Upstream Assets in Nigeria. The work will involve following a structured methodology to identify, understand, document and agree the risks presented by process control systems through discussion with operations technicians and engineers. Following the Risk Assessments there will be a remediation phase during which IT Security controls will be applied to systems to ensure compliance with the clients Process Control Security standards.

To be a fit, you should have good SCADA or Process Control Systems expertise and knowledge of how these are used in an Oil and Gas Production Process Control environment. Previous knowledge of IT Security Risk Assessments or Audit would be preferred although training will be given.
